Target Return Policy

Guys!! If you need to return something you bought from Target for any reason, you should review their returns policy first because target’s return policy can change at any time. If you are not aware of the target return policy information given below can be useful for you.

More about my experience, I ordered a table for a computer from target some time ago but it happened that the table had a little problem in returning it so was a little hesitant how to send it back so I called customer care and got all the information on how to return any purchased item.

I even sent the item back after getting all the information but I am putting all this information in front of you so that when this happens to someone else they can easily return the item.

What’s Return Policy?

Target’s Return Policy

You can return or exchange most items purchased from Target for a full refund or store credit within 90 days of purchase if you have not opened or used them. Products purchased through Target.com have a 14-day return window beginning on the invoice date.

Once an item is sent, delivered by a Shipt shopper, or made available for pick up, an invoice is generated. You should check your receipt, packing slip, the Target policy board (refund exclusions), Target.com, or the item description to see if the item has a different return policy than other items sold by Target. We will not give refunds or exchanges for items that customers have opened, damaged, or don’t have a receipt for.

Target Plus™ Partner’s Return Policy

If you purchase something from a Target Plus Partner and decide you don’t want it, you have 90 days to return it and get your money back. Target.com’s return policy allows for a 14-day window to return products starting from the time of invoicing.

Partners’ customers can only return their purchases in-store or over the mail to Target. For certain items sold by a Target Plus Partner, Target.com’s standard return policy will not apply. No refunds will be given for damaged or used items. Return periods for electronics and other products may be shorter than for other types of merchandise. Details on how to return an item can be found in its description.

Refund amount less than expected

Will I get a refund for an item purchased as part of a BOGO promotion?

If you buy two things at once during a Buy One Get One (BOGO) sale, you’ll save the amount of the lower price. Returning an item will result in a refund less the amount by which it was originally discounted.

Some instances are as follows:

Buy One, Get One Free: If you buy one item at full price ($60) and another at a discount ($40), you’ll get a total discount of $40 ($24 off the $60 item and $16 off the $40 item). The return value for either item will be the difference between the original purchase price and the prorated discount if any.

Buy One, Get One 50% Off: If you buy one item at full price and another at 50% off, you’ll save $20. This is because the discount for the first item is $12 and the discount for the second item is $8, for a total discount of $20. The return value for either item will be the difference between the original purchase price and the prorated discount if any.

Do I have to return the free gift or gift card I received with my order if I return the qualifying purchase item?

For the most part, you may just keep the free gift or gift card and return the item without having to send anything back. However, if you decide to return the thing that was eligible for the free gift or gift card, the value of the refund will be adjusted accordingly. You can return just the free gift, but you won’t get the full value back.

The company will deduct the prorated value of the free gift or gift card from any refund you receive for the qualified item in a free gift or gift card campaign. If you only seek a refund for the freebie, the company will only reimburse you based on the remaining time and the value of the freebie.

  • To redeem the full purchase price of Target’s promotional physical gift cards, you must return them in their original, unopened packaging. If you don’t return the gift card, the return value will be reduced by the amount of the free gift card.
  • Gift cards purchased at Target through promotions or on the go are not returnable.
  • Target Mobile cannot issue refunds for purchases made with a promotional gift card unless the customer returns both the card and the original purchase.
