Asos Return Policy 2022– ASOS is an online store that sells clothes and cosmetics. It was started in London in the year 2000.

It is easy to send something back to ASOS, and most of the time it is free. But it’s always a good idea to carefully read through the ASOS return policy guide.

We’re not going to leave you alone on this road. Instead, we’ll walk you through the entire return policy step by step.

What is Returns Policy?

We want returns to be as easy as possible, but if you want to know more about our Returns Policy, how to return something, or the process, scroll down.

Returning an unwanted item?

We get that sometimes something doesn’t work for you, and you want your money back. As long as an item is still in its original condition and follows the rules below, which include rules about fair use, we will take it back for free. None of these rules change the legal rights you have.

If you return an item within 28 days of getting it or being able to get it, we’ll give you a full refund through the same method you used to pay for it.

We try to give you your money back within 14 days of getting the item back to our warehouse. If you want a refund for an item within the above time frames but can’t send it back to us for some reason, please let us know. However, any refund will be up to us.

After that?

We don’t take back items you don’t want after the above-mentioned return period. If you try to make a return, we may have to send it back to your default delivery address and ask you to pay for the shipping costs.

Final Sale

Items marked “Final Sale” have been marked down a lot and can’t be returned, exchanged, or refunded, except in very rare cases. This doesn’t change any of your legal rights.

What happens to my return if I ordered using Klarna?

If you’ve used “Pay in 4 Payments with Klarna” to place an order, you’ll pay for it in regular payments. If you send something back within 28 days of getting it or being able to get it, we’ll give you a full refund.

Original condition

Since cleanliness and the safety of our customers are very important, some items can’t be returned for a refund.

Face and body products that have been opened, used, or don’t have their seals on them

If the hygiene seal is broken or any of the labels are torn off, the underwear should not be worn.

Swimwear should not be worn if the hygiene seal is broken or if any of the labels have been torn.
If the seal has been broken or tampered with, the jewelry should not be worn.

Cover their faces if the seal has been broken or tampered with.

None of this changes the legal rights you have.

You can try something on just like you would in a store, but please don’t wear it. If an item is returned to us damaged, worn, or in an unsuitable condition, we won’t be able to give you a refund and may have to send it back to you (and ask you to cover the delivery costs). On return, all items are checked.

Responsibility

You are responsible for returned items until they reach us, so make sure they are well-packaged and can’t get broken on the way!

Since you are still responsible for the package until it gets back to us, make sure you get proof of postage in case you need to get in touch with us about your return.

We are not responsible for any items that are mistakenly sent back to us. If we can find the items (which isn’t always possible) and you want them sent back to you, we may ask you to pay for the shipping.

Fair use

If we see a strange pattern of returns that doesn’t make sense, like if we think someone is wearing their purchases and then sending them back, or if they’re ordering and returning,

Way more than even the most loyal ASOS customer would order, or if the items returned don’t match what they ordered, we might have to deactivate the account and any other accounts that are linked to it.

If this happens to you and you think we made a mistake, please contact Customer Care and we’ll be happy to talk about it with you.

If you need to make a valid return but your account has been deactivated, contact Customer Care. They will give you a return label, but you will have to pay for shipping the goods back to us.

Please keep in mind that we can sue you if the items you send back don’t match what you ordered.

Want to exchange an item?

We don’t offer exchanges. If you want a different size or color, you’ll have to send back the item you don’t want and place a new order.

Don’t you know? ASOS is getting rid of paper! You will no longer get a paper returns slip with your order. Instead, you can make a return through your ASOS account.

How do I return something to you from the US?

You can send us back any item, even ones that were on sale, as long as it’s been 28 days since you got your original order. When your order is sent to a Click & Collect location, you have 28 days from the time it arrives at the pick-up point to return it.

If you return an item within 28 days of receiving it or being able to pick it up, you will get a full refund back to the way you paid for it.

How to return

Use one of the 47,000 UPS Ground locations across the country to send something back. Click here to find the UPS Ground post office near you.

Go to “My Account” to make your paperless return online.

  1. Go to ‘My Account and select ‘My Orders
  2. Click ‘Create Return’
  3. Select the items you want to return
  4. Use the drop-down menu to select the reason for return- there’s a text box if you want to provide more information
  5. Search for the drop-off location nearest you, and select it
  6. Click ‘Create Return’
  7. Check your email for your returns label
  8. Print your label and attach it to your bag (we’re working on this process!)
  9. Drop off your return, and you’re done!

When things are returned, they will all be checked out. If our Quality Control team doesn’t like how an item has been returned (for example, if the tags have been taken off or there are signs of wear) and we can’t put it back in stock, we may not be able to accept your return and may have to send it back to you.

Please keep in mind that items marked “Final Sale” have already been heavily discounted and can’t be returned, exchanged, or refunded except in very rare cases.

This doesn’t change any of your legal rights. These items will be marked “Final Sale,” and you’ll be able to see them when you check out.

What happens next with my return?

Go to “My Account” and “My Returns” to see how far along your return is. Once the items are back at our warehouse, we’ll handle them all at once.

Returns can reach our warehouse and be processed in up to 14 days.

We’ll send you an email as soon as we’ve received and processed your return in its original state.

Depending on your bank or card company, it can take up to 10 business days for your refund to show up.

If you get a voucher as a refund, it will be locked into your account and ready to use.

Multiple orders to return?

You can send back more than one order at once. Just pick the items you want to return from each order and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once your returned items arrive at our warehouse, we’ll process them all at once, and we’ll send you an email for each order to confirm the return.

If your package is bigger than 16x22x21in or weighs more than 44lb, UPS Ground may not be able to take it.

You can also send back any ASOS packaging that has been opened or used since your last order. Even though all of our packagings can be recycled and 80–90% of it is made from recycled materials.

We know that not all local recycling centers take every kind of plastic packaging. So, please send us your used packaging along with your returns, and we’ll take care of the rest.

We want to make it easy for you to return anything, so you can send back any item, even ones that were on sale, within 28 days of getting your original order.

Do I need proof of postage?

Since you are responsible for the package until it gets to us, don’t forget to ask for proof of postage. This way, if your package goes missing in the mail, you’ll have proof that you sent it.

Returns Note

Have you lost your returns note or label? You can use the Attachments section on this page to print a new one. Click on “Download” to get the file.

Make sure to fill out the returns form and include your order number when sending items back. Without these details, we can’t process your order.

How long does it take to arrive with you?

Depending on where you live and which postal service you use, it can take up to 21 business days for our warehouse to process your return (excluding weekends and public holidays).

We’ll send you an email as soon as we’re done with your return.

Any refund will go back to the card you used to pay for the first order. Depending on your bank or card company, this can take up to 10 business days (excluding weekends and public holidays).

Can I return an item for an exchange instead of a refund?

If you order something from ASOS and don’t like it, you can send it back for free.

We can’t offer an exchange on returned items, and once our warehouse gets them, all returned items will be refunded. If you want an article in a different size or color, you will have to place a new order.

I don’t have the US returns note, how do I get a new one?

You will no longer get a paper returns to slip in your package. Instead, you can now make a return online through your ASOS account.

Your tax return must be made through “My Account.” This will let you print a returns label to put on the outside of your package. The label has all the information we need to process your return. Click here to learn how to make a return.

Have you received my returned items?
