Nordstrom Rack Return Policy – If you’ve ever returned an item to Nordstrom Rack, you know that it can either be a relatively quick process or can be a bit more complicated, depending on the circumstances.

You must return items purchased between October 3 and December 24 by January 15 or within 45 days of purchase, whichever occurs first.
You can return items by mail or, alternatively, for free at any U.S. Nordstrom Rack store or a U.S. Nordstrom store. Additionally, you can check your invoice, email confirmation, or Purchases page to see if you can return your item.
You can start a return for eligible in-store and online orders from your nordstromrack.com account or the Guest Returns page if you don’t have access to your purchase history.

Guest Returns
If you used guest checkout to place your order, you can send us your item(s) by going to Guest Returns.
You must call Customer Service at 1.888.547.8438 to initiate the return process if you sent your guest order outside of the U.S.
Gift Returns
The person who got the gift can take it back to a Nordstrom Rack store and get store credit. The store credit you get for returning items can not be used online.
We will issue refunds for in-store gift purchases in the form of a Nordstrom Gift Card, which you can use at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, and HauteLook stores, as well as online.
The buyer must return the item in person or by mail in order to get a refund in the same way they paid for it.
Refunds
All returns will be refunded to the way you paid for them in the first place.
Orders paid for with Nordstrom Gift Cards or Nordstrom Notes will get a Nordstrom Gift Card as a refund, which will be sent to the original billing address. Gift cards can’t be turned into cash unless the law says so.
Price Adjustments
Things you’ve already bought from us won’t go up or down in price. The prices of the same or similar items from the previous season were used to figure out how much you could save. We try to give you the best deal we can, but you should also shop around.
Refund Processing
When you return something to a Nordstrom Rack store you’ll get your money back in the same way you paid or on a gift card.
When you mail in a return with our pre-paid return label, we will refund your original form of payment within 3–5 business days. Please give our Returns center 7–10 business days to get your return.
FAQs – Nordstrom Rack Return Policy
What items are eligible for returns?
Unless the item is marked “Final Sale” or “Non-Returnable,” you can return clothing, shoes, home goods, and accessories like bags, sunglasses, leather goods, jewelry, and watches.
We require that you return items in their original packaging, including hangers, hang tags, dust bags, eyewear cases, shoe boxes, and gift boxes if applicable. Furthermore, you may not have worn, altered, or damaged the items.
Unless it says otherwise, beauty items can’t be returned.
You can’t return fine jewelry or designer items bought at Nordstrom or Nordstrom.com to a Nordstrom Rack store.
Please note that we have the right to refuse to sell or limit the number of items to anyone we think might be buying things to sell on.
All sales to people who the management thinks are reselling or buying in bulk are final, and they will not be able to exchange or return their purchases.
Does nordstromrack.com have late-return fees?
We may accept items returned to us after these times at our own discretion. For late returns that we accept, we will refund you 50% of the original amount paid. This will show up as Late-Return Fee on your Purchases page.
Can I return a gift purchased online from Nordstrom Rack?
Yes. The person who got the gift can return eligible gifts to a U.S. Nordstrom Rack or U.S. Nordstrom store. Refunds for gifts will be given as a Nordstrom Gift Card, which can be used at Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack stores and online.
I shipped an order to Canada from nordstromrack.com when that was an option and I’d like to return an item. How can I do that?
You can return items that qualify by getting in touch with Customer Care. You can find your order number on your packing slip or in the email you got when you placed your order. Your refund will be less a return shipping fee of $10.95 for each shipping label you use.
Nordstromrack.com has teamed up with Landmark Trade Services Ltd., a licensed Canadian Customs Broker, to make shipping and returning easier for customers from other countries. Please pay attention to the statement about Canadian clearance authority below.
The Canada Border Services Agency has given Nordstromrack.com permission to take part in CREDITS (CBSA). By ordering goods from Nordstromrack.com.
I give Landmark Trade Services Ltd., an approved customs broker on CREDITS, permission to act as my agent and do business with the CBSA on my behalf to get my goods released, account for duties and taxes, handle the return of goods to Nordstromrack.com, and submit refund claims electronically on my behalf.
Under CREDITS, I understand that the CBSA will send any refund of duties and taxes paid on returned items to the customs broker, and I will get the refund directly from Nordstromrack.com.
I also give the customs broker permission to send Nordstromrack.com any refunds issued by the CBSA in my name so they can pay me back.
Do Nordstrom Rack stores in Canada accept returns from items purchased online at nordstromrack.com?
In Canada, customers cannot return items purchased online at nordstromrack.com to Nordstrom Rack stores.
Can I make exchanges?

When will I receive my refund?
All refunds will go back to the way you paid for them or to a Nordstrom Gift Card (gift cards cannot be redeemed for cash unless required by law).
If you take something back to a Nordstrom Rack or Nordstrom store, the money will be put back on your credit card. Depending on where you bank, you may get that money back in 5–7 business days.
If you send something back to us through the U.S. mail, we usually get it between 10 and 14 business days later. Once we get the item back, we’ll give you your money back.

Can You Return An Item Without Receipt?
Yes. If you have your receipt, it will speed things up, but you don’t have to have it.
Nordstrom will try to find your purchase in their computer system if you try to return something without a receipt.
If unable to locate your purchase, Nordstrom will provide a gift card for its current value.
Can You Return Shoes or Clothing You’ve Worn?
Yes, you can.
Nordstrom takes every possible measure to ensure their customers’ satisfaction, including allowing them to return items that they have already worn.
All they want is for you to be fair to them and not take advantage of their easy return policy.
What About Makeup…Can You Return It?
Yes indeed. Both opened and not.
If you’re not happy with it for any reason, you can just bring it back (hopefully with the receipt) and get a full refund.
What If The Item Has No Tag?
Don’t worry about it, just bring it back for a refund.
You can still return the item even if it has been worn and doesn’t have a tag.
How Do You Return Online Purchases?
You can do two things. You can mail them back with the return label that came with them, or you can bring them back to the nearest Nordstrom store.

Can You Return “Special Occasion” Dresses Without Tags?
No way, Jose.
Nordstrom has added a tag to “Special Occasion” dresses that reads, “If you remove this tag, you cannot return the garment,” due to recent abuse of their return policy.
People don’t want to pay a lot of money to wear a beautiful dress that someone else has already worn once or more than once.
Can You Get a Cash Refund at Nordstrom?
Since January 2017, you can only get a cash refund if you paid cash for the item.
Refunds for all other cases will be issued as store credit or credited back to the original credit card.
Nordstrom is cracking down on customers who took advantage of their return policy, especially those whose store accounts show more returns than actual purchases.
